Philosophical Quandary

Do you take the red pill or the blue pill- but what do you do if the blue pill is Viagra?

As for me, I take Keanu Reeves. He and I share a birthday.

ETA: According to the Washington Examiner today- President Obama doesn't know what pill to take either. Red or Blue. from the paper-

"I
f there's a blue pill and a red pill, and the blue pill is half the price of the red pill and works just as well, why not pay half price for the thing that's going to make you well?" -- President Obama

In last night's press conference, President Obama seemed to be reliving that famous scene from The Matrix. The main character is offered a choice between a red pill that makes him see reality for what it is, and a blue pill that allows him to continue living in a pleasant world of illusions.

Last night, President Obama appeared to have taken the blue pill before his press conference.

Red pill for me.

Though it comes with a price. Until more people take the red pill over the blue pill, those red pillers are likely to be seen as paranoid and quite possibly just plain ol' crazy.

Having been seen as both, the difficulty comes in knowing if you have in fact taken the red pill or if those who think you're crazy are right.

So the beauty of the red pill really only reveals itself when everyone takes it and wakes up to reality.

And only then can we really change reality.

The blue pill, however, whether Viagra or not, brings happiness through delusion. But, hey, who wants happiness?

Bitter, you made some points which really got me thinking.

My whole inspiration was the President's speech last night. I just linked to a newspaper, and fixed the You Tube.

But I cannot help but wonder if faced with a red pill, and a blue pill that is Viagra- how many men will think with their other brain? (grin)

So sad...

Obama turned out to be another agent, instead of The One :(

The late great Bill Hicks' theory on why Obama was never going to make a difference. Listen from about a minute in (contains profanity so be warned) -

Oh, actually, he's talking about Clinton but, like most of his material, just change the names and the truth remains the same.

a) See reality for what it is; or
b) Carry on living in a world of illusion/delusion (delete as appropriate)?

Whose reality is real, though? There is only one philosophical tenet that I can hold onto, and that is this: nothing is True, unless we agree on it... At the end of the day, the blue pillers have taken their own red pill, and perceive the world for what it is. The red pillers experience their own reality, which is different from the blue pillers, because they are impacted by different stimuli or deal with the same stimuli in a different way.

Me? I'll take both, and laugh my arse off, because that's the only way to make any sense of it, at all! Then I'll probably find that the combination of the two gives me a permanent erection, whereupon I will spend the rest of my life accessing internet porn and wanking myself stupid!
